Our commitment to you

This page outlines our service commitment to you, in respect of the Direct Debit Request (DDR) arrangements made between Greenpeace Australia Pacific Limited ABN 61 002 643 852 (APCA ID 015749) and you, the supporter. It sets out your rights, our commitment to you and your responsibilities to us together with where you should go for assistance. A tax receipt for your donations will be issued to you at the end of the financial year.

Drawing agreement

Greenpeace will debit your selected account on or around the chosen due date and regularly thereafter according to your chosen donation frequency as set out in the Direct Debit Request. When the debit due date falls on a public holiday the payment will be processed on or around the closest business day. If you are uncertain as to when the debit will be processed, please contact Greenpeace Australia Pacific on the number below or speak with your financial institution. Please allow up to a week for payments to be processed. Greenpeace provides 14 days notice if we propose to vary any of the direct debit arrangements.

Changes to the Arrangement

Changes to the Arrangement To defer or alter your direct debit with Greenpeace Australia Pacific, or to stop or cancel your direct debit request, please direct all enquiries to our Supporter Relationships team before contacting your financial institution, using the details below. We require 14 days’ notice of request to cancel or alter your debit agreement.

Disputes

If there is a discrepancy in the understanding between either parties the amount under dispute will be considered under the Greenpeace Australia Pacific Refund Policy and may be directed to your financial institution. If you wish to dispute any debit item please contact Greenpeace Australia Pacific using the details below.

Your commitment to us

Direct Debiting through the Bulk Electronic Clearing System is not available on every account. It is the responsibility of the supporter to check that the account details provided are correct before completing the Direct Debit Request. If in doubt please ask your financial institution.
It is the responsibility of the supporter to have sufficient clear funds available in the relevant account by the due date to permit payment of the debit. Should a debit be returned unpaid the supporter is responsible for any fees that are incurred against their account by their financial institution.
It is the responsibility of the supporter to contact us if your credit card expires, your card has been reported lost or stolen or you have cancelled your card. This will avoid unnecessary bank fees, prevent missing payments and will save us in administration costs.
