Our promise to you, our donors
Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP) is deeply grateful for the generous support of our donors – not least because we are 100% independent and rely solely on the generosity of individuals and a small number of family foundations. We are committed to treating our donors with the highest level of transparency and respect. This Charter has been produced to assure our current and prospective donors of the integrity and accountability of GPAP, our staff and volunteers at all times.
We will use donations wisely and in accordance with GPAP values
- We will not accept donations from any corporations, governments, political parties or multi-national governmental bodies as we prize our independence and integrity
- We will be nimble in our operations, and ensure we are being as effective and efficient as possible in pursuit of our mission
- We will process all gifts and donations as quickly as we are able to
- We will thank donors in a timely and appropriate manner for their support
- We will keep donors updated on how their gifts are being used
- We will respect donors wishes if they tell us they no longer want GPAP to contact them
- We will provide information about how a donor can opt-out of receiving further solicitations from us
- We will provide anonymity for gifts of up to $1,000 from donors who do not want to disclose their identity to us, providing a tax receipt is not required. We have the right to refuse any gift if it may compromise our independence
