Our Commitment to Independence
Greenpeace Australia Pacific does not accept funding from governments or corporations. This means we are 100% powered by individuals like you. This financial independence means we can speak out boldly and act fearlessly on the most pressing environmental issues—without compromise.
Professional, Friendly and Fully Trained
Our fundraisers are trained professionals—not volunteers—and all hold official licences under the Public Register of Face-to-Face Fundraisers Australia (PFRA). Supporter care is at the heart of everything we do, and our fundraisers are dedicated to representing Greenpeace with integrity and respect.
How to Identify a Legitimate Greenpeace Fundraiser
If you’re approached by someone claiming to be a Greenpeace fundraiser, here’s how you can tell they’re the real deal:
- They wear an official PRFA ID badge, which includes:
- A recent photo
- The fundraiser’s full name
- The words “Paid Collector”
- The name and logo of Greenpeace Australia Pacific
- They wear a Greenpeace-branded uniform, just like the one pictured here.
- They use a secure device, such as an iPad or tablet, to share information and register donations safely.
