Gemma has over ten years of experience in environmental and climate change advocacy. Prior to joining Greenpeace, Gemma was the Queensland Campaign Manager for the Wilderness Society working on deforestation before leading on the organisation’s national forest strategy. She has worked in regional Queensland organising communities to oppose large coal and gas projects for Mackay Conservation Group, and delivered major wins on the Fight for the Reef campaign for the Australian Marine Conservation Society.
