Ocean recovery is vital for stabilising our climate and securing a healthier future for us all

Marine sanctuaries can help heal the ocean
Scientists agree that covering our oceans in a network of sanctuaries can protect and heal them.
These areas will become off-limits to destructive activities like industrial fishing and deep sea drilling, providing space for marine life and ecosystems to recover and thrive.

Will you call on the Australian government to stop ocean destruction?
Together we have brought the Global Ocean Treaty into force, turning years of people powered action into real opportunity. But a treaty only protects the ocean if governments act on it and here’s the catch, Australia still hasn’t ratified it.
The Australian government must bring the treaty into law in early 2026 to pave the way to creating an ocean sanctuary in the Tasman Sea.
