THE TEAM

The Governance and Performance team is a close-knit and functionally diverse department that includes Legal, People and Culture, IT, Finance, Governance and Facilities. 

THE ROLE

The Operations Assistant is responsible for supporting the Chief Operating Officer (COO) to deliver key organisational projects and deliverables. 

A key focus of this role will be providing the friendly and efficient support needed to operationalise our new Sydney home, Rainbow Warrior House. This new premises will serve as the main office, functional warehouse and space for community events for GPAP to enact its mission to secure an earth capable of nurturing life in all of its magnificent diversity. This project is multifaceted and includes the completion of the building works; undertaking a fit out and set up; and the development and implementation of operational protocols and safety practices that optimise the use of our new multifunctional workplace.

The role will also provide cross team or whole-of-organisation administrative support when required.

This is a 12 month fixed term contract position. 

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We’re looking for an experienced administrator, with a background in project management support, and the skills to present to and work within a project team. You’ll be familiar with facilities management and maintenance, and have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. This is a highly varied role and would be a great opportunity for someone who loves working across a diverse range of different roles and teams. 

You’ll also have:

  • Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety, and how it applies in a combined warehouse/office;
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills; 
  • Proficient typing skills for minute-taking; and
  • Familiarity with Google suite.

Salary $60,725.82 per annum + Superannuation.

This role is based in Sydney, and will require regular attendance at our office in Rosebery.
