About the role

Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP) currently has a PLT opportunity for 2 legal students to work with our Greenpeace Australia Pacific Legal and Governance Officer, based in our Sydney Ultimo office, commencing in November. Please note there is a minimum commitment of 5-8 hours per week for 3 months. We are ideally looking for someone who can volunteer 1 to 2 days per week.

About You

As a PLT student within GPAP, you will receive training and supervision and will gain experience undertaking contract review, provision of small advices on employment and IP law, governance work, policy review and advocacy in the form of submissions on behalf of GPAP to parliament. The roles will be suited to law students in their 4th or 5th year of their undergraduate degree (or 2nd or 3rd year of their JD), although this is not a requirement.

Above all we’re looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong research skills who is excited by the prospect of defending the environment.
