THE TEAM

The High Value Fundraising team is a key part of our Fundraising and Technology department and a central team in our overall growth strategy. This team manages the organisation’s high value fundraising programs, including major giving, middle giving and gifts in wills, and builds strong relationships with donors to bring them closer to Greenpeace campaigns and collaborates with them to grow impact.

THE ROLE

Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP) is looking for a Donor Relationship Specialist to join us on a 12-month contract while one of our wonderful team members is away on leave.

The role is responsible for planning and optimising our middle donor strategy and managing the implementation of the middle donor program, including through strategies to upgrade regular gifts, increase one-off gifts and improve donor retention and engagement. The role is also responsible for developing other opportunities to grow the overall value of our donor base. 

Specifically, this role creates and refines processes to grow middle donor income, crafts tactics to build strong relationships with middle donors and also cultivates strong prospects for Major Gifts and Gifts in Wills programs. It includes aspects of direct marketing, communication strategies, and at times building personal connections with Middle Donors and Major Donor prospects.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We’re looking for a skilled fundraiser or marketer, ideally with a background in relationship fundraising and/or direct marketing, and preferably with experience creating donor journeys, fundraising propositions and direct marketing campaigns. You’ll thrive on making the connections between data, insights and effective marketing and stewardship approaches, including navigating dashboards to analyse performance, and using learnings to create inspiring donors experiences and successful fundraising outcomes. 

You are a person who loves working in a dynamic, fast-paced organisation that is values driven and collaborative. You believe that fundraising, story-telling and people power can change the world. You understand that working effectively with colleagues across the organisation is one of the keys to success and you prioritise relationship-building and collaboration. 

Two years’ experience in a similar role, including donor stewardship and relationship fundraising are an advantage.

Salary $88,170.76 per annum + Superannuation
